You should of course base this list on healthy meals and plan ahead what you are going to eat for each day of the week if possible. To avoid temptations, do not let yourself walk through the candy bar or processed meat aisle.

Make sure to reward yourself! If you have a craving for something, it is okay to give in to it occasionally. If you don't, you may over-indulge on other snacks. Giving yourself a treat is not sabotage. It is actually a benefit to keeping your diet on track. Just don't go overboard!

If you are looking for something to nosh on, find grapes in your fridge. Grapes will help to curb your appetite and have a great taste as well. The time that you spend eating grapes will prevent you from having any type of junk foods or candy when you want a snack.

If you need a different snack, try soy beans, also known as edamame. You can easily find these beans in the frozen food section. You can also add them to your dishes and experiment with them. These beans are extremely cheap and healthy.

Make subtle changes to lose weight! Cooking for the whole family? Make some healthy changes into your household. Replace whole milk with one percent or skim and replace other whole fat items with low or no fat versions. When used in recipes, the taste will usually not even be noticeable, and your family probably won't even be aware that you "�just pulled a fast one!'
