It is rather about experience. To get experience is a matter of hard work. Talent does not play a big role in success. What matters most is the diligence of an individual. The moment one completes a second degree in any medical degree that is the beginning of being an expert. The road to higher qualifications is not an easy one.

An expert is a studied person and that greatly differentiates her in the industry. He has information that other people do not possesses. In the medical field just like in other niches, knowledge is important. As a matter of fact, it is usually said that knowledge is power. Being highly knowledgeable is something that should not be taken for granted.

The beginner should always strive to learn from practitioners who are more senior than her. There are skills that are only learned through real life interactions. In campus, one learned a lot through books and laboratory lessons. In the real world, things are different. It is all about apprenticeship. That is how competence is passed from the seniors to juniors.

There is always the beginning of a career. That is not where someone will be after a year or two. Even better, after a decade of experience, one will be in a lofty place. All that is needed is for one to keep improving her skills. The world is changing fast and one should keep up with the pace of change.

In any profession, seniority is achieved after many years of experience. Someone with over three decades of experience is likely to be the senior in the world of gynecology. That individual has to be respected by all the juniors because she is the ultimate authority when it comes to OBGYN matters. To succeed, a professional has to work very hard.
